Mustilli is one of the oldest wineries in Campania and we have been working with them on the agronomic and wine-making front since 2007. It is one of the very few cases of winery DOC in Italy and the first to bottle Falanghina from Benevento in the 1970s. Mustilli is a staple in the production of Falanghina and Piedirosso from the distinctly varietal nature. Mustilli Farm is firmly anchored in Sant’Agata dei Goti, a town on the outskirts of the Benevento province of the same name as the smallest denomination of origin in Campania. The viticulture in Sant’Agata is characterized by vineyards varying in position and orientation, capable of good diversity and an increasingly rare richness. The winery is increasingly focused on finding the perfect harmony between wine and terroir, to characterize their production through the use of organic farming practices in the field and minimal intervention in the cellar. This is the meeting ground on which we encountered Leonardo, Marili, Paola and Annachiara Mustilli.
