Irpinia is a small, hilly and mountainous area in South Italy, in the heart of Southern Apennines. Just in this place, in 1996, was born Villa Raiano. The winery was constituted, in a very first time, in the old offices of the family’s main firm, the olive oil company, in the village of Raiano, town of Serino. In 2009 a new winery was built on the top of a hill, set in vineyards and chestnut woods, overlooking the Valley of river Sabato in the town of San Michele di Serino, just few miles far from its original place. The cellar was projected and built according to the most advanced technologic and architectural criteria, with a sole purpose: the production of wine from only native grapes: Greco, Fiano and Aglianico, in different wine-making styles. The company efforts are mainly concentrated in 50-acres vineyards, grown according to organic system and located in the most important towns of our 3 DOCG areas.
